Set up in three steps

Connect Bluesky to Postbase
Create an app password in Bluesky (Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords), then add it with your handle on the Channels page. You can revoke it from Bluesky any time.

Add the connector
In Claude on the web or desktop, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Postbase and paste the server URL.

Ask for Bluesky posts and threads
Tell Claude what to post on Bluesky and when. Everything it schedules shows up in your Postbase calendar.

How Claude's posts work on Bluesky
- Length
- 300 characters per post, counted the way you'd count them by eye.
- Links
- Bluesky doesn't make links clickable on its own. Postbase does it for you when the post goes out.
- Threads
- Ask for a thread and each post is published as a reply to the one before, in order.
Tips for better Bluesky posts
- Bluesky is a little more casual than LinkedIn. Tell the agent the tone you want.
- Ask for one version for X and one for Bluesky rather than sharing text: the limits differ (280 vs 300).
- Keep links at the end of a post so the preview reads well.
Frequently asked questions
Do links in the agent's posts work on Bluesky?
Yes. Postbase adds the link markup Bluesky needs when it publishes, so links are clickable.
Can it post the same thing to X and Bluesky?
Yes. It can send one post to both channels, or a separate version to each. Separate versions usually read better.
Does Claude need my Bluesky password?
No. You connect Bluesky to Postbase once, and Claude signs in to Postbase, not to Bluesky. You can revoke Claude's access from the Developers page at any time.
Can Claude delete my Bluesky posts?
No. It can list channels, create drafts and scheduled posts, list the queue and cancel a scheduled post. There's no tool for deleting anything.
