Connect LinkedIn to Postbase
Open Channels in Postbase, pick LinkedIn and approve access on LinkedIn's own sign-in screen. Postbase never sees your password.

How Cursor's posts work on LinkedIn
- Length
- Up to 3,000 characters, but only the first few lines show before "see more", so the opening matters.
- First comment
- Ask for a two-part post and the second part is published as the first comment, the usual home for links on LinkedIn.
- Hashtags
- Postbase posts your text exactly as written, so hashtags and @mentions show as plain text rather than links.
Tips for better LinkedIn posts
- Ask for short paragraphs and no emoji bullets unless that's your style.
- Put the link in a second part so it becomes the first comment.
- Give it a real example of a past post you liked, so it matches your voice.
Frequently asked questions
Can it post to a LinkedIn company page?
Not yet. Postbase posts to personal LinkedIn profiles today; company pages are on the roadmap.
How do I get a link in the first comment?
Ask for a two-part post with the link in the second part. Postbase publishes the first part as the post and the second as its first comment.
Does Cursor need my LinkedIn password?
No. You connect LinkedIn to Postbase once, and Cursor signs in to Postbase, not to LinkedIn. You can revoke Cursor's access from the Developers page at any time.
Can Cursor delete my LinkedIn posts?
No. It can list channels, create drafts and scheduled posts, list the queue and cancel a scheduled post. There's no tool for deleting anything.
